schau mal in der software unter systemsteuerung, ob dort die aktualisierung installiert wurde.

Jo, dort ist das Update zu finden. Wie schon gesagt es funktioniert alles pflichtgemäß (keinerlei Fehlercode oder so etwas). Problem ist halt nur, dass mich das Windows Update bei erneuter Ausführung, bzw. auch das automatische Update, jedesmal wieder auf neue Updates hinweist und das ist halt genau das KB900485.

eine lösung habe ich leider nicht für dich. da es aber in der software aufgeführt wurde, ist es installiert und du brauchst dir um die sicherheitslücke keine sorgen machen.

Ja, war eine InstallCD incl. SP2 wie sie mit dem System geliefert wurde.

Nein, daran wurde nichts verändert. Und soweit ich mich erinnere habe ich da auch nichts an Windowskomponenten runtergeschmissen...doch! den den MSN-Messanger! Das tat ich allerdings bei einem anderen System auch und das hatte keine Auswirkungen.

Kopier die letztgenannte aec.sys-Version spaßeshalber manuell nach \system32\drivers - nachdem Du manuell einen Wiederherstellungspunkt gesetzt hast.
