Memory aufrüsten in Dell Dimension 8300

Hallo,

stimmt es daß man beim Aufrüsten des Memories immer 2 Memorybänke kaufen muß?
Ich habe nur 1 GB zusätzlich gekauft.
Das BIOS erkennt das zwar, aber dann bleibt der Bildschirm schwarz.
Wenn ich das Memory wider entferne läuft wieder alles.

was ist Euer Rat?

Hallo,

Das Bios erkennt den RAM trotzdem wenn der Bildschirm schwarz ist?
Oder ist es so, es wird im Bios erkannt aber kann Windows nicht startet?

Auf deine erste Frage zu beantworten, ob man zwei statt einen RAM Baustein braucht, ist bei dem Board egal.
Im Handbuch ist dies bezüglich nichts aufgelistet.

Ich vermute mal, das du den 1GB zusätzlich zu den andere(n) Ram dazu stecken wolltest,
Was macht der 1GB Ram alleine, kann er dann Windows startet?
Wenn ja, ist es ein Konflikt (Unverträglichkeit) zwischen beide RAM Hersteller.

Lösung, entweder dann 1 GB reinstecken, den anderen verkaufen und dazu den selber RAM wie den 1 GB dazu kaufen.
