Problem mit Media Player Update

Hallo,

ich habe folgendesProblem:
Mein Firmen-PC ist so konfiguriert, das täglich überprüft wir ob Updates vorhanden sind und diese dann auch automatisch installiert werden. Vor kurzem war auch das Update KB 885492 für den Windows Media Player 9 mit dabei. Nach installation des Updates startet der Mediaplayer aber nicht mehr. Es erscheint folgende Fehlermeldung:


Ich habe ihn schon deinstalliert und neu installiert aber ohne Erfolg. Jedesmal nach dem Zwangsupdate das gleiche Spiel. Desweiteren habe ich auch schon das Update selbst runtergeladen und installiert - das gleiche. Da ich die Updates (oder zumindest dieses eine) nicht abschalten kann, da die Inst über Netzwerkrichtlienien gesteuert wird, behelfe ich mir im Moment folgendermaßen: Ich habe eine Bat Datei geschrieben die die Datei wmp.dll im System32 Verzeichnis mit der älteren (Version 9.0.0.2980) überschreibt. Diese habe ich auf den Desktop gelegt und ich muß sie täglich ausführen da ich auch täglich mit diesem KB 885492 Update gegeißelt werde. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dem Mediaplayer beizubiegen (Datei oder Registry) die wmp.dll der Version 9.0.03250 zu erwarten und einfach zu funzen?
System Win 2000 Pro SP4 (Build 2195) und Media Player 9

Eventuell hilft ja die Log Datei vom KB 885492 Update weiter...
