SYSFADER ???

On my side the problem appeared when shutting down Windows. Either explorer.exe or sysfader (they seemed to take turns) crashed and forced me to click on the Close now (not sure it's what's written in english, I use french W2K) button to finish shutting down my machine. I figured it must be a menu fading effect trouble but it didn't work for me; explorer and sysfader kept crashing. After formatting, re-installing progressively and testing at each step, I have tracked down the problem to... Winamp 2.81. I had put its folder on my D: drive before formatting my C: and moved it back afterwards, instead of correctly re-installing it (which never caused any trouble in previous Windows versions). When I simply started Winamp, closed it and shut down Windows, explorer.exe hung. Worse than that, the SB Live EAX control panel caused a blue screen when opened while Winamp was loaded. I redownloaded Winamp (v2.81 again, haven't tried v3), re-installed it correctly and nothing crashed up to now, even after fooling with the GUI parameters with TweakUI. By the way, at one point in re-installing, explorer.exe would also crash when I changed the fonts on my desktop or add an icon. Can't remember if I tried Winamp each time then, though.
