Hallo,
habe seit kurzem folgendes Problem:
Die Windows-Updates laden sich zwar korrekt herunter und ich kann auch die Installation starten, doch jedesmal nach dem Erstellen des Wiederherstellungspunktes bleibt die Installation stecken und verabschiedet sich 5 Minuten später mit der lapidaren Fehlermeldung, daß das Update fehlgeschlagen ist.
Mein System:
WinXP Pro XP2 (englisch) mit allen Updates bis August.
Router-Firewall, AVK 2005

Es spielt übrigens keine Rolle, ob ich das Update über das Automatische Update durchführe oder es (nachdem ich es auch manuell von MS heruntergeladen habe) direkt starte.
Ich habe bereits das WinUpdRestore durchgeführt, ohne Erfolg. Ich habe den Ordner CatRoot2 gelöscht und neu erstellen lassen, ohne Erfolg.
Was kann ich noch tun? Wo liegt das Problem?

P.S.: Ja, ich verwende natürlich die passenden englischen Updates zu meinem englischen Windows.
