Windows Update

Hi,

habe folgendes Problem: automatische Updates in Windows XP mit SP2 sind auf benachrichtigen, aber nicht automatisch downloaden oder installieren. Wenn nun das icon in der taskleiste aufpoppt und mir sagt, dass neue Updates da sind und ich draufklicke und den download starten will, verschwindet das icon nach 1-2 sekunden und nix wird heruntergeladen. Die Dienste Automatische Updates und intelligenter Hintergrund... sind gestartet. Hab auch schon den inhalt von ordner softwaredistribution\datastore gelöscht, ohne erfolg. woran kanns liegen?

ok, habs selber rausgefunden. einfach auf der neuen microsoft update seite die aktuelle update software installiert und schon hats funktioniert.

Hi,
sorry, dass ich diesen alten Thread nochmal aufwärme, aber ich hab jetzt schon wieder das o.g. Problem. Wenn ich auf der Microsoft Update Seite unter den Einstellungen das Microsoft Update abschalte und zurück zu Windows Update gehe, funktioniert alles bestens. Unter Microsoft Update allerdings tritt der oben beschriebene Fehler wieder auf. Ich wollte das für Microsoft Update zuständige ActiveX Element deinstallieren und wieder installieren, weiß aber nicht, wie das geht. In der Add-On Verwaltung kann man es nur deaktivieren.
Weiss jemand Rat? Und wie deinstalliere ich eine ActiveX Control?

Ich korrigiere mich: Windows Update anstelle von Microsoft Update funktioniert auch nicht. Das Icon in der taskleiste poppt kurz auf und verschwindet nach wenigen Sekunden wieder. Hat jemand ne Idee? Kann man das Microsoft Update ActiveX Control überhaupt deinstallieren?

Ja,

ich habs jetzt übers Wochenende ruhen lassen, da ich weg war. Gestern abend bin ich dann wiedergekommen und hab meinen Rechner hochgefahren. Dann kam auch wieder schön das Icon und ich hab draufgeklickt, obwohl ich die Hoffnung schon fast aufgegeben hatte. Und siehe da: es blieb, lud brav alle Updates herunter und installierte sie. Woran es lag? Keine Ahnung.
