Hi,

ok - langsam zum mitschreiben :)

- kopiere die Datei nach /tmp (cp datei /tmp)
- gehe nach /tmp (cd /tmp)
- mach' die Datei ausfühbar (chmod +x dateiname)
- ruf' die Datei auf (./dateiname)
- folge den Anweisungen des Installers

(Eventuell wirst Du noch die Kernel-Quellen installieren müssen... Dazu gehst Du in YaST - Software - und suchst nach Kernel Source. Die zu deinem Kernel passenden Quellen markierst Du dann und installierst diese von der CD/DVD/whatever).

Noch etwas: Der NVIDIA installer hat irgendetwas von download.nvidia.com holen gewollt. Internetverbindung war natürlich nicht aktiv.

Diese Fehlermeldung kannst Du ignorieren. Der Installer schaut auf selbiger Webseite nach, ob er bereots ein vorgefertiges Kernel-Modul findet. Wenn nicht, erstellt er ebend eins selbst. Solange alles geht, ist es wirklich belanglos.

Ah, Super. Aber 3d Effekte funktionieren bei mir nicht oder? Was ist mit Transparenz?


Eigendlich hätt ich ja noch ein paar Problemchen. Soll ich die jetzt hier frisch posten oder doch mein 5. und 6. Linux - Thema innerhalb von 10 Tagen öffnen. Antwortest ja sowieso nur du ;)

Doch, 3D Effekte sollten zur Verfügung stehen. Zur Kontrolle kannst Du aus der Konsole heraus glxinfo aufrufen. Echte Transparenz hast Du nur mit SuSE 10.1 oder indem Du diese Anleitung ausprobierst: (ja, ich weiss... ist für Gentoo, aber die Konfiguration ist analog dazu bei SuSE)

Hi,

um's kurz zu machen: Alle Extensions sind geladen und OpenGL funktioniert wie gewollt/gewünscht. Daher solltest Du deine Grafikkarte uneingeschränkt nutzen können.

Die Transparenz funktioniert irgendwie nicht.
Wenn ich in der Konsole transset eingeb, dann verändert sich der Mauszeiger und ich klick auf irgend ein Fenster. Es steht dann wie unten zu sehen das es jetzt durchsichtig sein sollte allerdings passiert da nichts.

Wenn ich wie in der Anleitung die Xorg.conf ändere dann startet mein Linux nicht mehr und ich muss wieder den Weg über Knoppix gehen. Übrigens: In Knoppix ist die Startleiste transparent.

Hmm... dann hast Du jetzt ne ziemliche Fuselarbeit vor Dir... Vergleiche mal die Einträge der xorg.conf von Knoppix mit Deiner.

Was passiert eigentlich, wenn Du xcompmgr -c eingibst ?

Ich glaub du könntest mir helfen indem du den Unterschied hier rein schreibst. Momentan hab ich hier ein bisschen ein Chaos. :crazy2:

Wollte jetzt eigendlich nach dieser () Beschreibung vorgehen und dazu muss ich zuerst compiz installieren. Hab jetzt alles bis Punkt 3 geschafft. Jetzt komm ich zu Punkt 4 und da brauch ich Compiz. ?:)
