DVD Brenner spinnt...bitte helft!

Hi!

Von heute auf morgen spinnt mein Nero 6.0.0.0, was mich bereits vier DVD Rohlinge gekostet hat.
Ich brenne nur ISO-DVDs (als BackUp für Festplatte) und anscheinend brennt Nero auch brav die Dateien, aber anschliessend sind die nicht mehr lesbar (Dateiformat unbekannt oder Datei korrupt).
Einziger Unterschied ist, daß ich vor ein paar Tagen eine Vollversion eines jetzt verbotenen Kopierprogramms entdeckte und nochmal auf den Rechner geklatscht hab. Das ist aber wieder deinstalliert. Kann es daran liegen?
Ausserdem lässt mich Nero nicht mehr simulieren und Verify Data klappt auch nicht, weil laut Log Eject and Reload nicht funzt. Wenn es funzt. bekomme ich viele Fehler ala:

Desweiteren ist der DVD Brenner (3 Wochen alt und bisher tadellos in Ordnung!) nach einer Brennsession nur noch als CD Recorder im Arbeitsplatz zu entdecken. CDs brennt der Brenner btw tadellos.
Ich habe bereits -R und +R Rohlinge verschiedener Marken versucht und Nero neuinstalliert.
Hier meine Systemkonfig:
XP SP1 auf AMD Athlon 1,8 GhZ, KT333 Chipsatz, 512 MB RAM
Brenner ist ein LG GSA-4120B, laut Händler spitze und kann Double Layer etc bla.

Kann mir wer helfen? Hardware oder Software?

Nero-Update wär nicht schlecht: http://www.ahead.de/de/nero-up.php

hab ich getan (danke, bin nie auf die Idee gekommen, nach Updates zu suchen bei nero, warum auch immer) und auch an den aspi treibern rumgefummelt (wobei aspichk.exe sagt, ich hab alles in 4.72, aber nero 6.3.12 behauptet, ich hätte 4.71 und weder wowpost noch die winaspi.dll erkennt:???. Ich lasse gerade ne dvd brennen, ich hoffe jetzt klappts.
Ansonsten hab ich mir gerade burnatonce gezogen, muss aber anscheinend noch auf die dvd funktionen-freischaltung warten.
